| Patti Newfield, B.P.E., Recreation Facilities Management Diploma, President and Director | ||
Patti Newfield is responsible for overseeing all of the operations of the Fairview Arena as well as setting strategy and planning. Patti is is also Director, Facility and League Development within SAWHA where she is responsible for the overall management and development of SAWHA programs at Fairview. Patti has been on the SAWHA Board since 2003 most recently serving as the Director of Competition and Development. She received her Bachelor of Physical Education degree from the University of Manitoba and a Recreation Facilities Management diploma from Langara Community College in Vancouver. Over the past 20 years she has been actively involved in sport and recreation in B.C., the Northwest Territories and Alberta. Until 2006 she was a Director with the Calgary Sport Council and currently sits on the Ice User Task Force Group and is committed to enhancing participation for all ice users. She recently established a skill development program for senior female hockey players funded through ASRPWF with the support of Hockey Alberta. She has been involved in sport at all levels, as a participant, as a community volunteer, as a coach and as an administrator. When not out on the ice, Patti can be found out on one of the many challenging golf courses throughout Alberta and hiking in the mountains during the summer months. |

| Leslie Ann Kalman, CA, Treasurer and Director | ||
Leslie Ann is responsible for all the financial matters of FWHAS , including invoicing, collection, bill payments, and reporting. She is a very active Board Member establishing policies, direction, internal controls and managing problems, day to day operations and growth strategies. She is also the Director of Operations for SAWHA and previously served as the Treasurer of SAWHA for four years. She brings 20 years of extensive financial industry experience with major companies, like Northridge Petroleum Marketing, Metronet Communications and AT&T Canada, from inception to public success. Leslie Ann looks forward to working closely with the Fairview Management team, especially in the challenging start up stage. She has played in the SAWHA league since 1985 and also manages the Calgary Raiders Womens hockey team. |

| Kim Arndt, Director and Vice-President - Marketing & Promotions | ||
| Kim has been a part of the Ringette community in Calgary for nearly 20 years. In addition to playing for and managing the Calgary Open B Rebels, Kim has volunteered on several Ringette committee’s including the Women’s Ringette Association of Calgary (WRAC) and the Esso Golden Ring Tournament. In 2006, she helped organize the 1st Annual Pink Ring, a 24 hour Ringette Game, which raised over $40 000 for breast cancer equipment at the Women’s Health Centre. Kim’s love of sports is long lived with the foundation of a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Sports Administration Diploma. Her past employment has included being the Program and Marketing Coordinator for Calgary Centennial Arenas and the Communications Director for The Calgary Roller Hockey League. Kim continues to play Ringette, enjoys being active and is looking forward to another opportunity to contribute to women’s athletics in Calgary. | ||
| Patrick Foster, Director and Vice-President | ||
| Patrick will be assisting with developing of FWHAS policies and the future growth of the Fairview Arena. He will be drawing upon his extensive experience in the Calgary Senior Men's league where is currently the league scheduler, ice and referee coordinator. Patrick received his Electronic Engineering Diploma from Red River Community College in Winnipeg and has been in the computer industry for the past 28 years. He moved from Winnipeg to Calgary in 1992. As well, Patrick operates his own IT Consulting firm, where he helps clients setup and maintain their networks from servers, desktops, phone systems and web site design. Also he helps the clients apply their business rules to internal databases and programs working with suppliers and internal staff. Patrick enjoys being involved in all levels of sports, both as a participant and a coach, and is currently an active player in the Senior Men’s League. | ||
| Juli McManus, Director and Vice President - TBA | ||
Juli is a Director and Operator of Ranchlands Children Come First Association. She has been operating Children Come First since 1993, with the goal to make kids laugh. Her entire career has focused on children, physical activity and the work of establishing the enabling conditions for children to lead healthy, active lives and to become self-sufficient adults. She holds a Degree in Physical Education from the University of Calgary. She not only believes in the importance of volunteerism, she is one. In her leisure time she can be found playing hockey, and best of all, spending time with her nieces and nephews. |

| Susan Demchuk, CMA BComm Director | ||
Susan has volunteered in various organizations over the past fifteen years and is also currently Vice President and past Treasurer of the Calgary Tennis Club. At the 2010 Winter Olympics, Susan was fortunate to be chosen as a volunteer at the Women's hockey venue and had first hand experience of how to deliver a special experience to athletes, dignitaries, fans and co-volunteers. Susan is enthusiastic about joining the FWHAS Board of Directors this year as she is an avid hockey player and believes in the vision of this organization. |
